According to an article on WikiHow, perspective drawing is a drawing technique used to illustrate dimension through a flat surface. To draw anything, first draw the line of horizon in the center of the paper sheet. Then make a point on this line. This point is known as the vanishing point. Begin with mastering one perspective that implies only one vanishing point. Schedule a few lines, like rays of light, going from the vanishing point. The lines should be parallel and are 'at infinity'.

Beginners should try to choose one-point perspective for their drawings. It is also useful to change the position of the horizon line. It may be drawn high or low. It is very important to learn to 'think' on paper at this step. The more you practice, the better for you. Then, after drawing geometric figures, move on to the real objects of the same shape. Drawing of still-life is a good practice, too. First of all, fruit and vegetables resemble geometric figures by their shape, for example, an apple looks like a sphere. Second, they have more intricate forms. Best of all, if you draw from life. Take a vase or water-bottle, put some fruit and vegetables in front of it. Be creative. First, make a composition on the table. Then, go on drawing on paper. Drawing of more complex objects is very useful for learning how to make shadows.

One more drawing tip for newbies - draw different species of plants, but, first of all, trees. Trees are easy to draw, even if you haven't yet mastered basic drawing skills. They have a simple and recognizable structure, which is easy to repeat in the drawing. Start drawing trees as if in the winter, just a bare trunk with a lot of branches. Then, after some training, add some greenery such as leaves.
